Fabricated Frames

I make fashion images by photographing clothes and their beautiful details, on and off the body, and by exploring colors, textures, and silhouettes through design, construction, and sewing, all of which play a part in fashion's art, beauty and language. A study of fashion photography has historically focused on the iconic photographers of each decade, their muses, and their style and body of work that crossed over into fashion, capturing the zeitgeist. However, the garments do not get the attention they deserve from photographers. Taking a multi-disciplinary approach, I explore fashion through photography, film, design, styling, and technology. Fabricated Frames is a mixed-media installation of a mini-collection of garments and a series of images that vividly show the garments and their details.

I explore color, texture, and silhouette through a multi-disciplinary approach where I deconstruct fashion through photo, video, design, styling, and technology.
